Biography
Alves is one of the most feared strikers at 170 pounds. Despite coming from a school made up of primarily grapplers and Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belts, Alves is a Muay Thai specialist that has rounded out his skill as his career has moved along and has added great takedown defense to compliment his striking. After going 7-1 in his pre-UFC fights he started his UFC career winning two out of his first four fights.
